ML Advisory 2016 – 35: Eid Al Adha (EID) Holiday Impact

Be Advised: Eid Al Adha, the Feast of the Sacrifice, the second of two major religious festivals celebrated by Muslims, will tentatively begin on 11 Sep 2016 and end on 13 Sep 2016. The actual dates may vary in each country depending on the region.


Pakistan (PAK GLOC): Eid Holidays will be observed in Pakistan for 3-4 days as declared by Government of Pakistan, depending on moon sighting. During this holiday: Customs; National Logistic Cell (NLC); Borders and all Port Operations will be closed for 3 days. Read More...

Customer Advisory: Impacts of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr

Please be advised that Ramadan will tentatively begin at sundown on June 6th, 2016 and end on July 5th, 2016. The actual dates will depend upon the time of the official sighting of the new moon. Eid Al Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, is celebrated for 3-4 days, with actual dates varying for each country depending on the region. Change of Designation of Exigency Areas (USC07)

Effective from April 8th, the following locations are no longer considered Exigency Areas:

• Libya
• Senegal
• Liberia
• Ghana
• Sierra Leone
• Gambia
• Guinea-Bissau
• Cote d’Ivoire

Terminal of Baku Port Moved to New Baku International Sea Port at Alyat

NDN rail operations moving via Baku Port have moved to the New Baku International Sea Port at Aylat until the end of 2014 which has in resulted in delays.  We will continue to monitor the situation and make updates as necessry. Read More...

Flooding in Afghanistan

Due to heavy raining in the last two days, there is a flooding situation in the Tashkor Ghan area between Mazar-e-Sharif and Pul-e-Khomri, which the road has been completely destroyed and will require five to six (5-6) days to repair.  This will affect lifting/delivery of cargo from Hairaton and Sher Khan Bandar ports and from Camp Marmal/Camp Pratt. Ghazni Festival

A ceremony has been organized in Ghazni, and people from various Islamic countries will attend.  The ceremony started on Friday, February 21 and will last for 3 to 4 days.

The corridors that will be affected are:

  • Maidan Shahr to Ghazni
  • Ghazni to Maidan Shahr
  • Kandahar to Ghazni
  • Ghazni to Kandahar
