Transatlantic Service – Maersk Montana

We would like to inform you that the vessel Maersk Montana will call the port of Miami. All other Transatlantic (TA1) vessels will call Port Everglades instead of Miami.

MLL Norfolk and Reston Offices Closed on Monday, February 20, 2017

Maersk Line, Limited’s Virginia offices in Norfolk and Reston will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2017 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

MLL’s Offices Holiday Schedule

Please be advised the Maersk Line, Limited offices in Reston and Norfolk, Virginia will be closed for the Christmas holiday on Monday, December 26, 2016.  We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, December 27, 2016.

Our offices will also be closed for the New Year’s holiday on Monday, January 2 and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3.

Turkish Holiday Schedule Impact on DOD Cargo Shipments

Please be advised of the upcoming Turkish holiday schedule that could impact cargo movement planning and execution.

Below is a list of Turkish holidays; during these times Turkish Government offices will be closed. The Turkish Government usually extends the holidays for Government employees through the end of the week. Based on the following holiday schedule, USAFE-AFAFRICA anticipate movement and delivery delays with import cargo shipments to Turkey. Turkish Customs at Incirlik AB will work during holidays to clear aircraft parts and general cargo that arrive on military aircraft (MILAIR). Read More...

Please be advised that Ramadan will tentatively begin at sundown on June 6th, 2016 and end on July 5th, 2016. The actual dates will depend upon the time of the official sighting of the new moon. Eid Al Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, is celebrated for 3-4 days, with actual dates varying for each country depending on the region. Please take note of the following for the West Central Asia region:

Monday June 6th, 2016: Holy Month of Ramadan Begins

During the Holy Month of Ramadan it is expected that operations and clearances in the West Central Asia region will be slowed or delayed due to the reduced working hours. As all Government offices will close by 1400 daily, there will be delays. We also expect that transporters, vendors, etc. will also follow suit and that no inland movements will take place after 1400, which in essence means in most countries if movement hasn’t begun by 1200, then it will be planned for the next day.
