A strike has just been announced unexpectedly in Naples, Italy for today 23rd, 24th, 27th and 28th of July. The strike is considered “illegal” but affecting operations which has stopped.

Temporary Closure of port of Aden, Yemen

As most of you are aware, Saudi Arabia is leading the military initiative from coalition partners in the south of Yemen. The operations started yesterday afternoon and continue.

Kindly be guided that entire city of Aden including the port is closed. All our agents offices (with the exception of Aden) are open for business, and all staff along with families are reported safe.

The vessel calls in port of Aden are cancelled by all carriers, and operations from/ to Hodeidah port is normal currently. Read More...

The terminal at Barbour’s Cut will reopen today at 1300 and remain open until 1900. The terminal will be open Friday 0700 till 1900 and Saturday 0800  till 1700 (will be closed for lunch). Read More...

Barbour’s Cut will remain closed today and will be on a delayed opening for tomorrow. Depending on status in the morning terminal may open by 1:00PM CT tomorrow. Once it is determined that operations can/will return to normal we will advise on status of vessel ops. Read More...

UPDATE: Houston Ship Channel Incident involving the Carla Maersk

Port of Houston is still under restriction and no personnel are permitted to enter as the response to the vessel collision in the adjacent ship channel progresses. While not impacting Bayport, Barbour’s Cut remains closed at this time. As of right now, APMT intends to try and reopen the terminal at 1:00PM CT – this is subject to change.

Belgian Ports Face Shutdown Mid-December

Shipping customers are being warned that they should be ready to expect delays, particularly at Antwerp and Zeebrugge as total port shutdowns are set for December 15th in a total 24 hour nationwide strike.

The December 15th shutdown follows similar occurrences on November 24th in Antwerp, and December 1st in Zeebrugge, when trade union strikes and protests froze operations at the ports.

As a result, there were full port closures and some sailing delays.  Currently, US government cargo is not routed through these ports so we do not expect any delays. Read More...

Benghazi Port Operations Suspended, Cargo Rerouted

Benghazi port has been closed for over 2 weeks with no expectation on when will the port reopen hence, we will suspend our service to Benghazi with immediate effect. Cargo on route or discharged in Malta will be diverted to other Libyan ports such as Misuratah and Al Khoms.  We will continue to accept bookings to Misuratah and Al Khoms without a problem.
