Potential delays in Bremerhaven

Yesterday a fatal accident happened at the NTB terminal in Bremerhaven.  A crane boom and its cabin broke down and fell into one of our vessels.

Tragically, the crane driver lost his life in the accident.  As the terminal has shut down other cranes to check on potential risks, we see delays in the handling of the vessels and as such the cargo operations. At this moment, there is no impact yet on USM related shipments.

We will monitor the terminal situation and provide updates in case of delays for USM related shipments. Read More...

Changes to Transatlantic (TA2) Service

The rotation of our TA2 service between North Europe and the US will change.   The current rotation calls the ports of Rotterdam, Felixstowe and Bremerhaven in that order. Effective October 13th this rotation will be changed to call Felixstowe first, followed by Rotterdam and Bremerhaven.

As a result of this change, our transit times between Felixstowe and North America will improve by one day, while other transit times remain unchanged. The first vessel affected by this change will be the Maersk Carolina/1416. Read More...
