Temporary Closure of port of Aden, Yemen

As most of you are aware, Saudi Arabia is leading the military initiative from coalition partners in the south of Yemen. The operations started yesterday afternoon and continue.

Kindly be guided that entire city of Aden including the port is closed. All our agents offices (with the exception of Aden) are open for business, and all staff along with families are reported safe.

The vessel calls in port of Aden are cancelled by all carriers, and operations from/ to Hodeidah port is normal currently. Read More...

Benghazi Port Operations Suspended, Cargo Rerouted

Benghazi port has been closed for over 2 weeks with no expectation on when will the port reopen hence, we will suspend our service to Benghazi with immediate effect. Cargo on route or discharged in Malta will be diverted to other Libyan ports such as Misuratah and Al Khoms.  We will continue to accept bookings to Misuratah and Al Khoms without a problem. UPDATE – Political Unrest in Burkina Faso Resolving

Following the political unrest in Burkina Faso from 31 October 2014, the situation has been largely resolved.   The Burkina Faso borders have been reopened and transportation operations have restarted accordingly, separate mails are being sent to all affected offices.

UPDATE – Newark Terminal Open on 4 November and Closed on 11 November

Newark APMT will be OPEN on  November 4th in observance of Election Day.   It was previously reported to be closed, but will be opening at 7:00 A.M.  Due to the change in terminal hours, auto cut off for the Maersk Detroit and Maersk Kentucky will only advance to 1500 hours.  Gate cut-off will be 1500 hours, on-line, for all inbound gate processing.

Newark APMT will be closed November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day. As such, cut off for the Maersk Danang 11A 1411 has been advanced to 1630 on November 10th. Read More...

Update: Severe Storm in Northern Europe Affecting TA2

The Port of Bremerhaven stopped cargo operations on 22nd October at 2:30 due to high winds.  They are expected to resume operations around 14:00 today.  TA2 vessel, Maersk Missouri, was not able to enter the port yesterday but expects to enter this morning. Read More...

Severe Storm in Northern Europe Affecting TA2 Cargo Delivery

Northern Europe is experiencing a severe storm, expected to last for another 24 hours.  Currently, Felixstowe stopped cargo operations at 21st October 0800 GMT.  Rotterdam is expected to stop cargo operations at 21st October 1600 CET, as well.  TA2 vessel, Maersk Missouri, reports that cargo imports are currently delayed. Los Angeles Pier 400 Temporarily Closed

Update 03– September 25, 2014 / 0709 hrs (7:09am):

  • Gates at Pier 400 Los Angeles are back to normal
  • Chassis availability is good
  • As a result of vessel delays, rail releases will be delayed in order to line up with vessel discharge; it is expected that schedule will be delayed 24 hours
  • Recovery will start with Chicago trains that were released today, and Houston trains that will be released tomorrow
