Terminal change in Antwerp for Transatlantic Services

Dear Valued Customer,

In order to continue to provide you with a high level of service and to maintain a sustainable product, Maersk Line has changed the terminal in Antwerp for Transatlantic services (TA1, TA2, TA3, TA4B, Canada Express).

The change is effective as of week 18.

Old Terminal: Delwaidedok (Q730)
New Terminal: Deurganckdock (Q1742)

Maersk Line, Limited (MLL) is pleased to announce the new Trans-Atlantic (TA2) service, an exciting US Flag service that offers fast and reliable transits between the US East Coast and Europe.  Maersk Line’s investment in these upgrades means that now 3 out of 4 vessels in this service are US Flag. Maersk Iowa Delayed into Rotterdam

Maersk Iowa, a transatlantic vessel, is delayed due to inclement weather and slow cargo operations in Newark and Charleston.  The original ETA Rotterdam was 3/23/15 07:30 hours. The new ETA Rotterdam is 3/24/15 03:00 hours.

Belgian Ports Face Shutdown Mid-December

Shipping customers are being warned that they should be ready to expect delays, particularly at Antwerp and Zeebrugge as total port shutdowns are set for December 15th in a total 24 hour nationwide strike.

The December 15th shutdown follows similar occurrences on November 24th in Antwerp, and December 1st in Zeebrugge, when trade union strikes and protests froze operations at the ports.

As a result, there were full port closures and some sailing delays.  Currently, US government cargo is not routed through these ports so we do not expect any delays. Read More...
